We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Research Fellow to undertake the evaluation of the Lincolnshire National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP LiNCHigher). The Programme is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and led by Bishop Grossteste University. The Programme has been established to address lower than expected progression to higher education in identified areas of Lincolnshire. Accordingly it will work across rural and urban areas of Lincolnshire with partners from across the education sector and in close collaboration with other community, public and private sector agencies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the evaluation of the NCOP LiNCHigher programme. As an active part of the Programme, the evaluation will enhance the effectiveness of the project activities and will support the Project Steering Group in measuring and evidencing outcomes. Through a range of quantitative and qualitative methods the evaluation will also support the wider ambitions of NCOP by providing toolkits and key research in relation to the process whereby a consortium of institutions in higher education/further education work to ensure enhanced participation in further study.

This post is based within the Lincoln Higher Education Research Institute at the University of Lincoln. The Institute provides a platform for excellent and useful research into higher education, developing expertise and impact through its work with researchers locally, nationally and internationally. The post holder will have opportunities to work with other higher education researchers and to participate in the wider endeavours of the Institute. This post offers an outstanding opportunity for a committed researcher to gain valuable experience in collaborative, externally funded research whilst developing their career in an environment that is academically stimulating.

This full-time post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 2 years.
