The student residential experience was recognised in 2015 as a critical element of student life at the University of Lincoln and the University embarked on a transformational change programme, moving from 1000 directly controlled Purpose Built Student Accommodation bed spaces to circa 2700 currently, with construction ongoing to increase beds to 4400+ by 2022. Due to this growth we are now recruiting to a number of crucial operational roles.

We are looking to appoint 3 Accommodation Team Leaders. Reporting to an Accommodation Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians to deliver minor and general maintenance, decorating, compliance, grounds maintenance, cleaning, fire watch and other similar building related tasks to all University owned and managed student accommodation. You will be responsible for supervising a number of Accommodation Technicians in order to achieve this. The post will require flexible hours in order to accommodate regular shift, overnight and weekend working.

You will have worked in a range of environments: This could include building management/ facilities management both in the public and private sector. Ideally you will have a trade or specific building maintenance skill set. You will have supervisory experience including managing a team, creation of risk assessments, an understanding of Health and Safety requirements and processes and competent IT skills. You must possess a full, clean driving licence. The role will involve driving, regular manual handling and working at height. Additionally you may be required to travel between sites in order to carry out specific duties and support colleagues This role may require a full DBS check.

You will demonstrate a genuine commitment towards continual service improvement and devising innovative solutions, ideally focused around the customer experience. You will possess strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills and can work pro-actively, using a high level of initiative.
