Now is a truly exciting time to join our dynamic and forward-looking institution; we represent a new breed of university, a fast-growing, gold-rated university where staff and students work collaboratively and create world-changing knowledge and research. We offer our staff simply a life changing opportunity.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, confident, and organised Research Repository and Research Data Officer to join the Systems and Data team. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the successful day to day management of the institutional repository and implementation of key funding bodies’ Open Access policies. Acting as the first point of contact for academic colleagues looking to gain familiarity with the repository and Open Access rules, you will keep abreast of developments in the field of Open Access, prepare training materials, deliver workshops, and update portal pages with relevant information. The post will be based in the Research and Enterprise Office and the successful candidate will be a member of a small team working in a fast changing, high pressured environment, having to meet tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record of strong organisation and prioritisation skills, as well as being able to demonstrate a high level of initiative and communication skills.  They will also need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team and be able to adapt to changes and work under pressure. Some knowledge of research publication and open access policies will be desirable, but we will offer full training and a development plan in this area.

This is a permanent post. We welcome applications for full-time or part-time as this job can be offered as a job shared for two part-time candidates.

If you are looking for a simply life changing opportunity, apply now to join our innovative team.
