We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Administrator within the College of Science at the University of Lincoln.   This is an interesting and dynamic post which will engage the postholder in a variety of research projects and other activities in support of research within the College.  The postholder will be critical in supporting the work of the College Research Office team, the academic cohort and the administration of a range of research projects.

The postholder will provide administrative support to the Research Manager and members of Research Office team (Project Managers, Research Officer and Finance Officer), to the academic cohort and to the Director of Research, as required.  The postholder will assist in the day-to-day administration of research projects in accordance with University and external funder guidelines, and the role involves an element of research finance support, so some knowledge of finance would be an advantage.

The postholder will be expected to provide an efficient, effective, timely and accurate administrative support to a high standard, and will be expected to work on their own initiative as well as being a key part of a busy team of people.

The postholder is expected to work on their own initiative and prioritise their workload to meet tight internal and external deadlines.   The postholder is also expected to use their judgement to deal with queries and problems on a daily basis.  The postholder will be expected to work with minimum supervision and ensure that their work conforms to the agreed quality standard, guidelines and procedures.   Experience of working in Higher Education would be an advantage.

This is likely to be a much sought after permanent post at the University of Lincoln, therefore the applications will be capped at the first 50 received.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.

The post is being made available to internal candidates only in support of our commitment to developing staff by providing opportunities for internal movement and promotion. Therefore we actively encourage applications from all staff across the University with the relevant skills and experience.
