As part of the College of Social Science, the School makes a fundamental contribution to the broader work of the University, and new colleagues will play a key role in moving the School forward to its next stage of development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join a dynamic and vibrant community of academics and students. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Law will be expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching in the MA Criminology and Criminal Justice programme and to assist in the development of the newly validated MSc in Applied Criminal Justice. Current modules on the MA programme include criminal justice, international criminal justice, penology, police powers and dangerous offenders. Successful candidates may also be asked to teach in at least one of the core undergraduate modules offered by the Law School. Teaching and research interests in other criminal justice areas which will enhance the suite of modules offered by the School will also be welcome. 

Candidates will be expected to have a clear research record and/or a research plan, or professional experience with evidence of engagement with scholarly activities.
