The University is looking to appoint an  Administrator / Apprenticeship Coordinator in The Professional Development Centre within the College of Social Science.  The introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy is driving growth particularly in Degree Apprenticeships, and the Professional Development Centre is managing the development and delivery of apprenticeships within the College of Social Science.   This new post is being introduced to facilitate this growth in Degree and postgraduate Apprenticeships and  manage the subsequent increased engagement with employers. 

The successful candidate working closely as part of a team with the Centre Manager, Programme Leads and the academic delivery team, will play a key role in overseeing the effective administration of a number of  apprenticeship programmes.  S/he will also have responsibility for the maintenance of management information systems, monitoring and performance reporting, and will have a major role in relationship management between the university, employers and apprentices. 

You  will need to exercise high degrees of professionalism and judgement and will have extensive experience of HE academic administration and data systems.  You will be required to coordinate several workstreams and produce accurate results to tight deadlines, and will largely manage your own time and determine priorities in order to achieve the required output.  You must be able to use your initiative  while working as part of a team. and you should  have the ability to cope in a dynamic and challenging environment.  You  will  undertake extensive liaison with employers and students, and it is therefore important  that you have an outgoing disposition and the ability to be a confident communicator.
