The University is set in the heart of the beautiful, safe and friendly city of Lincoln.  The University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious and international institution with high aspirations and a strong record of widening participation in Higher Education.

Working in partnership with the University of Nottingham, the University was recently successful in a bid to establish a new Medical School in Lincoln.  Two undergraduate programmes will be offered from September 2019; the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (5 years) and the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with a Foundation Year (6 years).

The University of Lincoln will be developing a brand new Anatomy Suite in one of the existing science buildings at the Brayford Pool campus to support anatomical practical teaching from September 2019.  In the initial period of employment, the successful candidate will be based at the University of Nottingham, Queen’s Medical Centre for a significant proportion of their week to contribute to the preparation of prosected human cadaveric specimens for use at the campus in Lincoln.  The University is also due to open a new medical school building on the Brayford Pool site in 2021 and the successful candidate will be involved in the design of the Anatomy Suite in that building, where they will work closely with other technical staff.

This full-time, permanent post offers the exciting opportunity of working with two highly reputable higher education institutions in this new venture to provide a Medical School in Lincolnshire.  Applications are welcomed from individuals holding the appropriate credentials in biological science or related subjects and experience in the preparation of prosection and other materials for anatomy teaching.
